Image Databases

ARTstor digital library gives access to over 1 million images of the arts, architecture, humanities and the social sciences with sophisiticated software tools to view, present and manage images. Its latest feature enables slideshows to be downloaded directly into PowerPoint. ARTstor's collections are continually being added to with the latest additions including works from MoMA's permanent collections and Magnum Photos. 

You can also search Falmouth's Foundation, BA and MA shows alongside Artstor's hosted collections. To search Falmouth's image collections individually, follow the links under Shared Shelf Collections.

Please note: when retrieving an image from ARTstor via One Stop Search, you will be prompted to login to the Falmouth Resources Login Page and then close a tab box before re-opening the image window. To download, you have to maximize the window.

Bridgeman Education Art Library 
Bridgeman Education is an excellent source for images, and has a European and British bias. You can search over 300,000 images covering 30,000 artists and designers, from all periods of history to the modern day. Subjects covered include: photography, fine art, architecture, history, science and medicine, decorative arts and archeology. It is easy to use, and provides an internal slideviewer, as well as the option to download images and slideshows into your own documents.
