Welcome to the Archives & Special Collections Service for Falmouth University and the University of Exeter in Cornwall.

The Service brings together original records with specialised book collections - unique, eclectic and inspiring sources for use in both research and creative practice. Situated on Level 0 of the Exchange on the Penryn Campus, our Collections are available to view in our Reading Room on request by appointment.

Placements.

The Archives & Special Collections Team offer a number of voluntary student placements throughout the academic year. Open to students from Falmouth University and University of Exeter these placements offer the opportunity to gain experience working with the fantastic Archive collections here on campus whilst developing new skills.

We are currently offering a paid intern opportunity for Falmouth University Students - this role offers the successful applicant the opportunity to explore the creative potential of the collections held on the Penryn Campus - with a focus this year on pastimes & hobbies in the Archives. We are currently offering a paid intern role for University of Exeter Students to work on a joint project with Dr Timothy Cooper and the Archives & Special Collections team on the Penryn Campus to select materials for a forthcoming exhibit on the Environmental History of Modern Cornwall - Applications close on the 8th of March - Further details of the role and how to apply are available on Handshake
