Are you looking to make the most of the library and learn new skills to help you with your studies?

Library Bitesized is a programme of interactive library skills workshops, designed to help you:

  • Navigate the Library and finding resources for your studies
  • Take your research to the next level
  • Gain new skills and develop abilities you didn't know you had!

The workshops are free and you can choose which to attend, supporting your learning whenever suits you best.

We will look at smart tips for using Library Search, how to pick the best keywords, and when and why you might want to go beyond the basic search and dip into specialist databases!

Plus, find out about the new features we have introduced to help you access what you need and how to go ‘beyond the Library’.

If you are about to start your dissertation or final year project, discover the skills you'll need to take your research to the next level.

We will explore research methodologies, tips & tricks for effective database searching and how to look beyond the library.

We'll also look at ways of keeping track of and organising your findings, how to evaluate your sources and where to get further help and support.

This workshop explores the relationship between creative practice and research, and highlight the value of research to your practice long after you graduate.

We'll share tips, ideas and strategies to support you in your own area of practice.
