Check out our YouTube channel for help on using the library

Look, no one wants to talk about it, hear about it, or even really think about it. The end of term means it's deadline season again — but we're here to help you get through this.

If you're looking for some research help, our YouTube channel is filled with short, easy-to-digest videos that will show you how to get the most out of your library.

It includes help on big topics such as finding good sources for your essays. There are also short tips on things like how to use filters on Library Search to only search for online eBooks (if you prefer to work digitally).

Four videos we'd recommend for everyone to watch

Research Tips

Don't let research feel like a big, daunting task without end. This video helps you set aims and give structure to your reading.

Using the Library Website

Our new website can tell you which resources will be most useful for your specific course of study. Not sure where to find that information? Watch below.

Saving Favourites in Library Search

This one's a lifesaver. Did you realise you can save books and journal articles to your account? Quickly pin everything you think looks like it might be useful, so you won't need to hunt it down again later.

Help and Support

If you have any questions to do with using the library, we're all ears. No question is too small: talk to us at a Compass Help Desk or email library@fxplus.ac.uk. More ways you can get help are in the video below.

Good luck!
